Constitution of EdlingtonTop Club Fishing Club.

1.    Name
•    The name of the Group shall be Edlington Top Club Fishing Club.

2.    Aims and objectives of the club
•    Our primary purpose shall be to manage and improve Edlington Top Club Fishing Club. We shall encourage our members to participate in the sport of angling without discrimination in any form, to educate and promote all members, at all levels in the care of wildlife and the conservation of the Edlington Top Club
In order to achieve its aims the club may
•    Raise money.
•    Open bank accounts.
•    Take out insurance.
•    Organise fishing trips, courses, training and events.
•    Work with similar groups and exchange information and advice with them.
•    Do anything that is lawful which will help to fulfil its aims.

3.    Membership
•    Membership of Edlington Top Club Fishing Club shall be open to any individual aged 16 or over without regard to disability, gender, political or religious affiliation, race or sexual orientation who is:
•    Interested in helping the club fulfil its aims and objectives and who is willing to abide by the rules of the club.
•    Membership of Edlington Top Club Fishing Club shall be applied for in writing by any individual. The management committee decisions regarding membership shall be final.
•    The membership of any member may be suspended or terminated for good reason by the management committee the member may have the right to appeal and be heard by the management committee accompanied by a friend before a final decision is made.
•    There shall also be a juvenile Section with membership open to any one from 5 to 16 years of age.
•    The maximum numbers of members will be determined at the A.G.M. by the elected management committee.

4.    Management
•    The Edlington Top Club Fishing Club shall be administered by a Management Committee of at least 7 members and no financial decisions shall be taken without at least 5 in attendance. All committee to be elected on an annual basis at the clubs Annual General Meeting (A.G.M) The committee to comprise of President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary and Match booking Secretary along with 2 other committee. The management committee shall have the right to appoint up to 3 other members to the committee as and when deemed appropriate.
•    A meeting shall be held the first Sunday of every month and all members may attend. This meeting shall be for members to pay subs and socialise with other members. Minutes of the previous meeting are read, and a summary of the accounts be given.
•    At least twice a year the management committee shall meet to discuss the clubs progress. 3 committee, at least must attend for a meeting to take place. Voting shall be by a show of hands, in the event of a vote being tied, the President has the casting vote.
5.    Duties of Officers

•    The Duties of the President shall be:
•    Chair meetings of the management committee and any meeting of the club.
•    Represent the club at functions / meetings that the club has been invited to and act as spokesperson for the club when necessary.
•    The Duties of the Vice President shall be:
•    Chair meetings of the management committee and any meeting of the club when the President is absent.
•    Represent the club at functions / meetings that the club has been invited to and act as spokesperson for the club when necessary or when the President is absent.
•    The Duties of the Secretary shall be:
•    Prepare in consultation with the President the agenda for any meeting.
•    Take and keep minutes of all meetings. Along with the assistance of the Treasurer keep detailed cash accounts.
•    Prepare all books and accounts for audit.
•    Collect and circulate any relevant information within the club.
•    Along with the match booking secretary ensure all deposit and match fees are paid.
•    The Duties of the Treasurer shall be:
•    Along with the assistance of the Secretary ensure detailed cash accounts are kept. Pay and withdraw monies into and from the bank           account as and when required.
•    Assist the Secretary as and when required to ensure accuracy and transparency regarding the clubs finances.
•    The Duties of the Match booking Secretary shall be:
•    Book and arrange fishing competitions for all members.
•    Arrange fishing coaching and training for the juvenile section
•    Make sure where possible our O.A.P and disabled members are cared and catered for when fishing or attending any club related business.

6.    Finances
•    All moneys received by or on behalf of the club shall be aimed at furthering the aims and objectives of the club and no other purpose.
•    Any bank accounts for the club shall be in the name of Edlington Top Club Fishing Club.
•    Any cheques issues by the club shall be signed by any 2 of nominated members of the committee.
•    The Treasure to ensure our books are audited 2 times a year by an independent auditor. A report shall be given to the members of the club after any audit.
•    A financial report will be given by the Secretary at every meeting. At the end of the financial year a copy of the clubs financial statement will be available to every member.

7.    Annual General Meeting
•    The Edlington Top Club Fishing Club shall hold an annual General meeting on the first Sunday in August each year or as soon as possible thereafter.
•    All members will be given at least 7 days notice of the A.G.M and all members will be entitled to attend and vote.
•    The business of the A.G.M shall include the Presidents report on the activities over the year.
•    The Treasurer will give a financial report for the year.
•    Election of a new Management Committee shall take place.
•    An emergency A.G.M may be called by the Management Committee if deemed necessary.

8.    Special General Meetings
•    A special general meeting may be called at any time by the management committee to discuss an urgent matter. The Secretary will give 14 days notice of any such meeting together with notice of business to be discussed.

9.    Alterations of the constitution
•    Any changes to this constitution must be agreed by at least two thirds of those members present, and voting at the A.G.M.

10.    Dissolution
•    The Edlington Top Club Fishing Club may be wound up at any time if agreed by two thirds of those members voting and present at any A.G.M. In the event of winding up any assets remaining after all debts have been paid shall be given to another club with similar aims and objectives within the Doncaster area.

•    Until the A.G.M takes place the persons whose names, addresses and signatures appears on this document shall act as the Management Committee referred to in this constitution.
